Geothermal Corrosion and Scaling Well Check

In order to make the advice found within the best practice guide more targeted to each individual operator, an interactive web application was developed. In this application, the user is guided through the main contents of the best practices by way of questionnaires and simple calculations. The application asks the user to provide high-level inputs on well design, operational settings, and brine chemistry, and provides the user with general indication on the type and potential severity of corrosion and scaling issues that might occur within their geothermal doublet and how these could be mitigated. Through this, we aim to inform operators on corrosion and scaling issues and aid in the dissemination of the PERFORM project.
